Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Kindpath Therapy. By using this website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Practice Information
Kindpath Therapy provides outpatient mental health services via secure telehealth platforms. All therapy services are provided by Christina Picker, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker. Services are offered only to individuals located in states where the clinician is licensed at the time of service.
Use of this website does not establish a therapist–client relationship. A therapeutic relationship is established only after completion of intake paperwork and mutual agreement to begin services.
2. Not a Crisis or Emergency Service
Kindpath Therapy is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or are at risk of harm to yourself or others, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988).
3. Telehealth Services Disclaimer
All therapy services are provided via telehealth. While telehealth is effective and convenient, it may not be appropriate for everyone or every situation. By engaging in telehealth services, you acknowledge and consent to the potential risks and limitations, including technological disruptions or privacy risks outside the clinician’s control.
4. Scheduling, Cancellations & No-Shows
Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee, as outlined in the practice policies provided during intake.
5. Fees & Payment
Fees for services are discussed prior to scheduling and are due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged. Kindpath Therapy may accept private pay and select insurance plans. Clients are responsible for understanding their insurance benefits, including copays or deductibles.
6. Confidentiality & Its Limits
Your privacy is important. Therapy services are confidential and governed by state and federal laws, including HIPAA. However, confidentiality has legal limits, including but not limited to situations involving risk of harm, abuse or neglect, or court orders. These limits are explained in detail during the informed consent process.
7. Website Use Disclaimer
The content on this website is provided for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment, diagnosis, or advice. Reliance on any information provided on this website is solely at your own risk.
8. Jurisdiction & Licensing
This website is operated from the United States. Services are provided only to clients located in states where the clinician is licensed. Any disputes related to these Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the state in which the clinician is licensed and practicing.
9. Changes to These Terms
Kindpath Therapy reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
